Training Path

All new employees must follow the outlined training path; it is essential that all new employees be trained properly.  Anyone that will be conducting the training must have completed all online training modules including the train the trainer module. Schedule trainee and a trainer together for a maximum 4 hour training shift. Training must be completed within 50 hours.

Create Employee ID in My Absorb

  1. Send welcome email to trainee with all the information they need to start training

    a) Completed Job Letter must be attached to this email and uploaded into their online Employee File

  2. Schedule orientation & online training of introductory modules a day before

  3. Conduct orientation and collect employee information and enter it into Clearview

  4. Online training continues with the new employee completing one module in the restaurant and then practicing what they have learned hands on with the trainer in a 4 hour shift. The trainer should have a dedicated 4 hours to spend with the trainee in order to complete these modules.

  5. Conduct a Station Checklist on the trainee and debrief at the end of each module.

  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for all stations.

  7. Training for station is complete once trainee scores 18/20 on Station Checklist.

  8. Each week trainee is assessed for competence.

  9. Training is complete after 50 hours a full evaluation of the trainee is conducted by the restaurant manager at this point to determine competency.
